Minimum Margins – Opera 3

A new update for Opera 3 (version 2.74.00) allows for minimum margins to be set in Invoicing and Sales Order Processing (SOP) to ensure you are always above your minimum set margins.

The Invoicing and SOP modules in Opera 3 have been improved so that the Invoicing/ SOP user is alerted when a minimum margin % is lower than the minimum.

A new set of controls have been added to Set Options.

This allows the user full control on how they wish this feature to operate. The default is “Allow less than minimum margin”, how the system currently operates. Two additional options have been added:

If the user decides to amend the option to “Warn if less than minimum margin”, it will be necessary for a minimum percentage to be applied and a warning message is displayed if the line entered is less than minimum margin. The message can be overridden if desired.

If the user decides to amend the option to “Error if less than minimum margin”, it will be necessary for a minimum percentage to be applied and an error message is displayed if the line entered is less than the minimum margin. The message cannot be overridden and therefore the user must correct the situation before they can proceed.
