Recently, the Hazardous Waste Regulations changed and computer systems have been reclassified as hazardous waste. You now have a legal responsibility to ensure that you use only licensed contractors to remove your equipment.

SBK offers a recycling service which is compliant with all WEEE and Hazardous waste regulations. We can handle the whole computer disposal & recycling process from start to finish including all paperwork for your audit trial.

In the recycling process we will either securely wipe all data stored on the hard drive in order to ensure that your information is not exposed or, if the computer system containing a hard drive is not suitable for re-use, then hard drives are shredded prior to precious metal recovery. This ensures compliance with the Data Protection Act and commercial and client confidentiality.
